“I came here to help free the people of Donbas. I think I do the right thing. No one ordered me to go, but I got invitations from both sides. Some our people joined the opposite side. But I think I must come here and help free Donbas from Nazi German occupants,” Aliaksei Rusiaeu says.

The “police officer” lived in Minsk and worked for the police. He came to eastern Ukraine last August. Aliaksei Rusiaeu lost his arm during a battle near Spartak village. The Belarusian showed documents confirming his service in the Belarusian police. He is at hospital now and plans to return to his brigade.
