Smuggled cigarettes from Belarus confiscated in Kovel

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine confiscated 112,500 packs of smuggled cigarettes without excise stamps in the Volyn region.

The total cost of the confiscated goods is more than 1 million hryvnias, charter97.org learnt from the main department of the State Fiscal Service for the Volyn region.

Cigarettes without excise stamps produced by Donskoy Tabak company (Russia), Grodno-based Tobacco Factory Neman (Belarus) and brands Condrad and Miles produced by India, according to the bar code, of a total cost of 135,000 hryvnias were confiscated in warehouses in Kovel by investigators. The goods were brought to Ukraine from Moldova.

Law-enforcers seized a vehicle used by a courier company for delivering smuggled cigarettes.
