Russia is much weaker than we used to think.

George Friedman, chief intelligence officer and CEO of the private intelligence corporation Stratfor, states that Russia's FSB failed in prediction of pro-Russian sentiments in Ukraine.

Hromadske.TV reports.

"First, it is noteworthy that FSB's activity was extremely ineffective. The Russian invasion of eastern Ukraine made provision for increased number of pro-Russian population. They failed to predict the opposite scenario", Friedman pointed out.

In addition, he stressed that Russia is much weaker than everyone thinks.

"Russia is much weaker than we used to think. What is not done is interesting to analyze: it does not direct military forces and numerous divisions inland", Friedman says.

According to him, the Kremlin has taken a certain position and adheres to it.
