Vital Rymasheuski: Violence Could Be Stopped By Solidarity Only
Vital Rymasheuski

Belarusians should express solidarity with the journalist and activists beaten up in the court of Minsk.

The co-chairman of the organizing committee for creation of the Belarusian Christian Democratic Party Vital Rymasheuski believes that beating up of the two opposition activists and the journalist in the court of Frunzenski district of Minsk on January 25 is not an exception, it’s a rule. He also urges to express solidarity with the beaten journalist and activists, Radio Racyja informs.

– People could be beaten without charge or trial and be convicted for that. Riot policemen and those who give orders to them, who are educating people in mufti, who are in fact people with criminal consciousness – are in power in our country at the moment. They are restrained only by democratic countries and a possible bankruptcy of the country, and the total dependence on loans, without which they would not be able to support their families, even those riot policemen who had gone go berserk. That is why they are ready to beat, and what had happened in the court of Frunzenski district has torn the mask from the Belarusian authoritarianism for a moment once again, – Vital Rymasheuski said.

– This total lawlessness could be stopped only when Belarusians would be able to defend each other from bandits in power and in law-enforcing agencies by joint actions, – the co-chairman of the BCD added.
