GDP Of Belarus Fell By Almost 3%

The Belarusian GDP decline rate has accelerated again.

GDP of Belarus has fallen by 2.9% in the last nine months.

According to the first estimates of the National Statistics Committee, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Belarus amounted to 69.3 billion Belarusian rubles in January-September, BelaPAN reports.

As the statistical agency has noted, if calculated in comparable prices, it makes 97.1% of the GDP in January-September, 2015.

The National Statistics Committee of Belarus has also noted, that during the first nine months of 2016 the GDP deflator index has made 108.2% if compared to the same period of the previous year.

It should be noted that, according to the current forecast of the Eurasian Development Bank experts, the GDP of Belarus will fall by 2.6% in 2016.
