Over the past 20 months, the deepest ever drop in income of the population was registered in Belarus.

Real disposable money incomes of the population of Belarus (excluding taxes, fees and contributions, adjusted for inflation) in January—August 2016 decreased by 7,1% compared to the same period last year, BelaPAN reports with a reference to the National Statistics Committee. It is the deepest drop in the revenue over the past 20 months.

The incomes has been falling since the beginning of 2015: in January — by 1,4% compared to the same period of 2014; in January and February — by 2,3%; January—March — 4%; January—April — by 4,1%; January—May — by 4,7%; January—June — 5,3%; January to July — by 5,4%; January to August — by 5,5%; January—September and January—October — by 5,6%; January—November — by 5,5%; for the year — by 5,9%. In January 2016 there has been a decrease of 5,4% compared to January 2015, in January and February — 6,4%, January—March — 6,5%, January—April — 6,8%, in January—May January— June and January—July — 7%.

At the end of eight months of 2016, the wages payroll occupied 61,8% of the total volume of money incomes, the income from business and other revenue-generating activities — 8,3%, transfers to the population (pensions, benefits, grants and other transfers to the population) — 23, 9%, the property income and other income — 6%.

"It is presumed that the economy will grow by a few percent in 2016—2020. The state now has no resources to increase the income of the population at a faster rate (in terms of significant payments on domestic and external debt)", — Director of the IPM Research Center Aliaksandr Chubryk has said.
