Russian paratroopers landed in Brest.

No, they do not fall from the sky like it was in Prague in1968. They arrived from Kostroma. They were welcomed here. It was hospitality beyond borders. What else do you expect? We are brothers-in-arms!

Well, good brothers... Not wet behind the ears they who are subject to regular training. They are up to all the dodges, contract soldiers. They have been around. They know the smell of gunpowder. They showed themselves in dirty wars against Georgia and Ukraine. And while experts in low-sorted hospitality rub them up the right way and put out a really good spread for higher officials, they will manage to determine the place of landing for the main wave of paratroopers, chart a course and explore every bush. These are desperate times, everything should be at hand.

It is notable that press releases of the Ministry of Defence of Russia on not such significant maneuvers sound like reports of the Soviet Information Bureau from former battlefields. "Landing will be held on previously unfamiliar to Kostroma paratroopers landing area surrounded by thick woodland. The site is called Sahara". This is how a contract soldier acts. It is a thorough business. They have even their own toponymy. We are lucky enough - Brest has not been yet renamed in Timbuktu. But there are enough reasons for enthusiasm of officials.

In moments of joy not all parallels are correct. Moreover, if we are only a part of the empire, temporarily put aside from the mother country. But if independence is our choice, exceptions are wild. What to do, if resemblance is too obvious.

In the same Brest, in the autumn of the thirty-ninth year General Heinz Guderian and brigade commander Semyon Krivoshein review results of not some joint exercises, but real operation on division of Poland. There was a parade. Marches of friendly troops were heard. That was a sincere joy that much land both countries had received: the Reich and the Soviet Union had a common border. Neighbours, and in the future, perhaps, good friends. However, the price for that involuntary mistake of a great Soviet strategist was incredibly high. Annoying misunderstanding - the partner turned to be extremely cunning. And it is not acceptable to remember it.

But now we have a reliable and trustworthy ally. And these Kostroma paratroopers are good guys, really. There's not a rotten apple in the bunch. Brave ones. Right after the landing they can rush into the battle. Wherever the country orders. But this is not a secret anymore. The world is at the tip of the spear. A light breeze is needed to make everything collapse. Russia's tried to recall who is dangerous and unpredictable on this planet.

Restless Kremlin's KGB serviceman has already managed to deliver America insolent ultimatum to the invitation on possible ways of disposing of excessive stocks of weapons-grade plutonium. Ridiculous? Are nearly restless wars on the perimeter of new Russia also ridiculous? Chechnya. Georgia. Evasion of Crimea. Endless massacre in eastern Ukraine. Repetitive provocations in Europe. Missile systems "Iskander-M" has already directed to Kaliningrad base. Two minutes are enough to bring down a nuclear flame on cities of neighbouring states. No wonder that last year Russian paratroopers diligently practiced attack on Warsaw on our training areas. This is a pure pragmatism.

A day never passes without news about successful missile operations and new testing of a miracle weapon. Russia is confidently directing itself in a trap the Soviet Union did not manage to get out of. However, it's not our problem.

But why has Drazdy regime needed to carefully follow every step of belligerent Kremlin officials? Has someone in America owed to us? Are we so strong and invulnerable that we can cancel their Xmas or at least knock on the platform with a shoe? Strange things happen in this political out-of-the-way place. It would be better to sit still and do not poke the bear with such potential.

But this is not our story! Drums of war are thundering. We are enormously proud of losses during World War II and large-scale parade with a bunch of pot-belly generals and brave Pskov soldiery. How strong the country is! Even in a tent there was heard the highest revelation of how several SS-300 had been found near the Russian fence. They were cleaned up and painted. And taken into service. The leader, being grateful to his generous neighbour, could strictly and uncompromisingly set a strategic goal. "Together with the Russian people we will defend common fatherland here on equally important westerly direction." In a word, we are quite ready for the third world war. We wait only an order from the Kremlin.

This is not the first confession in readiness to serve a rich neighbour. It is barely possible that someone has forgotten his inspired calls to go to live in dugouts and to lie down with grenades under NATO tanks. For the same Russia. What is the reason for such reckless love?

If a seasonal facilitation and the full moon are excluded, the thing that remains is maneuvers. Not only Brest ones with Kostroma contract paratroopers. In September there were weird maneuvers near Lepel. The task was really exotic: interaction of regular forces with our peaceful police. Impudent terrorists, as it turned out, suddenly intruded on the dictator-controlled territory and even captured a town. Not on your nelly! Our brave troops, together with the police made mincemeat out of evil Mujahideens.

However, there was a first telecast from the battlefield. Here is another question: who is the real enemy? The police was facing dull extras and they poked with flags into police shields with no enthusiasm. And there were no bearded Mujahideens. Oh, they rehearse the dispersion of the Square! December 2010 became the history, and the fear of the people remains.

Okay, soldiers and the police act together. But Brest maneuvers miss cops. Elite troops, paratroopers. But the scenario is the same. The Russian Ministry of Defence reports honestly: "In the course of international exercises "winged infantry" of two countries will exercise combat missions on search, block and elimination of illegal armed groups." Here's a shy forgery. As if we wait for the Taliban or even aliens the other day. In the murky fog of fears of the third world war a provincial dictator carefully cultivates six ares of his selfish interests.

The impoverished country has broken in some irresistible running in circles. All the space is occupied by the war. The past and the future - the inevitable one. Either with the hateworthy West or with his own nation. One maneuvers are replaced by others. These near Brest will be over on Ocrober 20. The lull will not be long - other maneuvers will begin. As soon as Kostroma paratrooper leave, Pskov ones will arrive. They will look around, make themselves at home and get accustomed to it. And will stay. Games with foreign soldiers have a bad ending. The Empire will never live our country in peace - time proved.

The whole story of relations with the eastern neighbour is a one-way street to a standstill. To be more precise, to a war. Nothing special. An ordinary fate of the silent and obedient. The dictatorship is gaining strength in silence. The best environment for its aging is a complete peace and slavish obedience. And an indispensable presence of foreign soldiers nearby.

The best option is contractors. Kostroma, Pskov ones. It'll do, even if they come from hell. But they should be contract soldiers. Reliable and evil ones. Who are game for to do anything.
