Belarusian House In Warsaw Tells About Local Border Traffic In Kuźnica Białostocka

The Belarusians now not only know about the local border traffic, but can facilitate introduction thereof, thanks to the activists.

Representatives of the alliance “Civil Hrodna Region” in a partnership with the Belarusian House in Warsaw have conducted an informational campaign dedicated to the local border traffic in the border crossing point “Kuźnica-Bruzgi”, radio Racyja reports.

Back in 2010, Belarus signed agreements with the governments of Poland, Latvia and Lithuania, establishing the rules of the local border traffic. However, the international agreements with Poland and Lithuania have not come into the legal force yet.

Thanks to the conducted action, the Belarusians now not only know about the local border traffic, but can facilitate introduction thereof.

“You can, for example, use the electronic form of application. The option to address to the authorities thus showing something is important for us is now available at all government bodies’ websites. People use this, and if in 2014 no one spoke about the local border traffic, but now there was talk at the level of the ministries of Belarus and Poland”, - Co-director of the Belarusian House in Warsaw Ales Zarembiuk says.

The local border traffic allows residents of the border area to visit the respective territory of the neighboring country. You do not need a visa, only a special certificate. The information campaign on local border traffic has also been conducted on October 25 by Brest democratic activists.
