Photofact: monument to victims of fascism defaced in Pinsk

Unidentified vandals have painted a swastika on a memorial lettering embossed on the monument.

According to BelaPAN, on November 30, an information about an act of vandalism was reported to the Pinsk Regional Police Department. A team of investigators have visited the site, the information is being checked.

The monument was erected in Pushkinskaya street, in the site where Pinsk ghetto was situated during the World War II.

In 1941-1944, it was the place where the Nazis massively exterminated Jews, Gypsies, prisoners of Pinsk prison – partisans and underground fighters.
