Every Fourth Enterprise In Belarus Is Unprofitable

The number of unprofitable enterprises in Belarus has increased from 1.535 to 1.968 in January-April of the current year in comparison with the same period last year.

According to the National Statistics Committee, cost of goods, works and services sold increased by 15.1% and reached 446.8 trillion Belarusian rubles in January-April 2016 in Belarus.

The number of unprofitable companies in Belarus has increased from 1.535 to 1.968 in January-April of the current year in comparison with the same period last year, and the proportion of such companies in the total number of organizations has increased from 20.1% to 25.7%.

Net profit of companies amounted to 12 trillion Belarusian rubles, which is 33.9% less than in January-April 2015.

Profit from sales decreased by 6.3% to 36.4 trillion Belarusian rubles.

Revenues from sales of products, goods, works and services of organizations in the country amounted to 554 trillion Belarusian rubles in current prices, or 13.4% more than in January-April 2015.

Return on sales for January-April 2016 has made 6.6% against 7.9% in January-April 2015, sales margins are 8.1% vs. 10%, BelaPAN reports.
