KGB Head Explains Reasons For Prolongation Of Term Under Guard For Yury Chyzh

The investigators need to inspect over two thousand objects belonging to the businessman.

KGB Head Valery Vakulchyk has told this in an exclusive comment to Euroradio.

Vakulchyk: “He owns over two thousand various objects. Do you think it is possible to inspect and check all those in one month? So this is an ordinary, normal practice… This is a peculiarity of economic crimes.”

Vakulchyk has also underlined that Chyzh is still suspected in large-scaled tax evasion.

At it was reported the day before, the investigation had prolonged the term under guard for Yury Chyzh for two more months. The owner of the “Triple” group of companies was arrested back on March 11. If the case goes further to the court, Chyzh may face up to seven years of imprisonment alongside with property confiscation.

A number of people also suspected in tax evasion were arrested together with famous businessman Yury Chyzh.
