Anarchists have thrown a smoke bomb onto the territory of the Main Department For Combating Organized Crime in Brest. The action has been aimed against the repressions, which are carried out by officers of the Main Department For Combating Organized Crime against political activists and their relatives.

“It is no secret that those who support the anarchist movement are affected by vindictive justice. We also express our solidarity with all the anarchists who are under pressure of the Belarusian security services. We urge them all to resist actively and not to endure tyranny in silence. Together we can give battle to this cocky power,” – the activists of the anarchist movement wrote on the revbel.org site.

Earlier, on June 9 anarchists bombarded the Belarusian television and radio broadcasting company building with lamps containing paint. In this regard the Pervamaiski police department of Minsk is investigating the case under Part 2 of the Article 339 of the Criminal Code – “hooliganism committed repeatedly or by a group of persons.”

On June 13, two activists of the anarchist movement were detained on suspicion of involvement in this action and later released, though with the status of suspects.

We remind that on April 29 the cyclists’ rally “Critical Mass” took place in Minsk. The cyclists were stopped by the traffic police near the stela in Victor's Avenue, a few cyclists were arrested, criminal cases for resistance to the police were initiated against two of them – Dzmitry Palienka and Stanislau Kanavalau.

Stanislau Kanavalau was released on his own recognizance on April 30, Dzmitry Palienka was sent to a detention center. According to activist’s parents, Dzmitry did not resist the police, but was trying to stand for one of the cyclists, who was being beaten by a police officer. The police officer said that his jacket had been torn by the cyclist.
