Shumchanka: “Elections” – Way Of Overall Deceit And Lies

The government will arrange another farce with an imitation “of the product with 2% fat content” – this would be the number they give to unwanted “candidates.”

Head of the Republican public association Perspectiva Anatol Shumchanka has written about that in his blog on “Belarusian partisan.”

“Let those, who are taking part in the “elections,” give an honest answer – what their motives are and what they are expecting from “elections,” knowing that a fare vote counting is impossible. In my opinion, those who follow this way have no difference from the current regime, because playing by the rules of your opponent you position yourself in one line with them, with all the regalia, templates and labels.

Such “participants” strengthen with their own hands the faith in the institutions of power, boosting their authority and significance.

The regime exists as long as the people participate in the "elections" and accept the results. And it does not matter how they count the voices, if you have come to the "elections", then you trust the system, and the regime.

I declare once again that I consider it beneath the dignity to follow the way of universal deceit and lies.

And only when the absolute majority understands this and their self-esteem awakens, the long-awaited changes will happen!

In the meantime, it is the time of imitation of “the product with 2% fat content”. That's how many votes the regime gives to those who are trying to be a democrat, participating in the "democratic elections" in today's Belarus,” – Shumchanka wrote.

Let us remind that yesterday the Belarusian opposition leaders said they would not participate as candidates in the "elections".
