Well-Known Belarusian Businessman Dies In Light Airplane Crash

The businessman Ihar Tsyareschanka died in the fall of a seaplane in the Braslau district, Vitsebsk region.

Let us remind that a three-seater seaplane of the “ЧЕ-23М” type fell down in Braslau district on August 27. The crash of the seaplane happened around 19.20 near the village Budzily. While landing the seaplane flew into the trees, and then crushed on the ground.

When the rescuers arrived they found the aircraft with leaking fuel, emergency doctors examined and hospitalized the injured.

The amphibious seaplane "ЧЕ-23M" was registered in the Department of Aviation of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The flight was performed on request.

As it has become known to tut.by website, the businessman Ihar Tsyareschanka (born in 1960) died during the tragedy. He owned a recreation camp “Krasnogorka” in Braslau district. It’s in that camp tourists were demonstrated picturesque sites from a birds eye view while flying on that seaplane.

Ihar Tsyareschanka was engaged in the production of veterinary drugs and sturgeon. He was also the owner of a German wind turbine which capacity is 130 kilowatts.

– He was a pleasant, cheerful, sociable and progressive person –

Viktar Tsyareschanka, a former presidential candidate, who has a house 12 km from the recreation camp “Krasnogorka”, says. – I'm sorry about his premature death, his life ended tragically.

According to the interlocutor, who had learned about the tragedy from the locals, the sky was clear on that day.

– But people say that there was a strong gust of wind, the plane swayed, caught on a tree and crashed, – Viktar Tsyareschanka says.

The pilot and a lady passenger survived. As Yauheni Matusevich, the deputy chief physician at the medical unit of the central district hospital of Braslau, told, a man (born in 1967) and a girl (born in 1987) arrived to them with injuries of varying severity. They received all necessary help. Now the condition of patients is stable.

A criminal case was initiated upon the seaplane crush under p.2 of Art. 314 (Violation of safety rules and of air transport operations) of the Criminal Code. The Central Investigation Department of the central office of the Investigative Committee is examining the circumstances of the crash. According to the press service of the IC, the experts have already examined the scene of the incident and took samples of fuel and other technical fluids. They have also scheduled the appropriate examinations. As part of the investigation they also find and interrogate witnesses and eyewitnesses of the incident, study flight and technical documentation.
