Kaliakin Demands To Declare “Elections” In Vorsha District Invalid

The leader of the party “Fair World” has already submitted a corresponding complaint to Vitsebsk elections commission.

Siarhei Kaliakin demands to declare the “elections” in Vorsha city district #25 invalid.

The leader of the Belarusian left party “Fair World” has already submitted a corresponding complaint to Vitsebsk regional elections commission, Radio Racyja reports.

Severe violations of the electoral legislation, according to the politician, were made both during preparation for the “elections”, and at summarizing their results. They are:

- absence of the opposition’s representatives in the squad of elections commissions;

- obstruction of the work of observers;

- non-transparency of votes counting procedure, and others.

Kaliakin considers it necessary to appeal such facts.

- If we keep silence and do not protest, it will happen again, like, Yarmoshyna told at a meeting with me: “I have no complaints filed, everyone is happy, no one complains and everybody recognizes the “elections”. The authorities will then have an opportunity to tell everything is good. Therefore, everyone should complain, especially the participants of the campaign, candidates for “deputies”. Those who think it is not real, it is a deception, should protest.”

Siarhei Kaliakin demands to take a decision to declare the “elections” in Vorsha city district #25 invalid, and to appoint new elections in this district. Although the politician does not believe his complaint will be considered fairly, he still says it is necessary ti record all facts of violations.
