Junker On The Moon

Junker On The Moon
ALEKSANDR NEVZOROV

Russia looks comical at best.

The main "event": the Russian mission "Luna-25" launched to reach the Moon.

Probably, a Ukrainian high-rise building or clinic was found on the Moon, which must be urgently bombed. Nothing else can explain the "launch on the Moon" now.

However, it is possible that they were aiming at Mykolaiv or Kupiansk but the rocket simply deviated off the course greatly and “escaped to space”.

Almost everything about the launch of a "rocket on the moon" is ridiculous. The so-called "Luna-25" was created according to the schematics and project of the "Luna-24" and is just a clone. (the “Luna-24”, let me remind you, was designed in 1976.)

This junker has no real scientific goals.

The babble about "taking samples of the regolith" sounds especially funny, after absolutely all space powers have repeatedly scolded the Moon on this subject.

Now we have a couple of tons of this regolith (it’s a lunar blanket of unconsolidated soil) on Earth already. You don’t need to fly anywhere for it, the regolith is available at auctions or simply on the AlịExpress for a long time.

It is clear that the Russian "Flight to the Moon" is an obvious show like breaking bricks with heads or painting grass. It should be noted that in this case, Roscosmos “paints” the “Soviet grass” of 1976. (They never raised their own.)

Wanting to remind the world of its cosmic nature, Russia looks comical at best.

The show is good when there is something to show.

But this is clearly not the case.

It should be noted the sympathetic silence of NASA and other real players in this sphere.

I do fear the declared duration of the flight of the old Russian junker.

The Apollos got to the Moon in 72 hours, and the Luna-25 is going to get there only on August 21.

However, this may be due to the seasonal dampness of firewood, which this design uses as fuel.

There are other reasons: the Moon is not a supermarket in Kremenchuk. It is moving. It’s not so easy to target.
