'They'll Pay Their Price Soon'

Belarusians remember the names of the victims and their executors.

Today is the anniversary of the death of Mikalai Klimovich. He was tortured to death in Lukashenka's dungeons. Pinsk blogger and human rights activist was 61 years old. Since the 90s he joined the Belarusian national movement, since 2001 he has been blogging under the pseudonym Mikalai Veresen. He went to the courts to support those persecuted for political reasons. The chief Pinsk ideologist Valantsina Kulak blacklisted him for employers, he could not get a good job in his specialty, he was in distress, a reader of the Charter97.org website recalls:

— Friends persuaded Mikalai to refrain from criticizing the authorities, the Lukashists offered to go over to their side. He replied that he could not live any other way.

He was locked in a mental institution for the duration of the 2020 elections. The GUBOPiK (Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption) arrested him in 2022 for an anti-war caricature of Putin in Nazi uniform. He showed the enforcers a certificate of a disabled person, talked about his heart problems. They laughed and mocked the disabled person. Three days later, an ambulance picked him up from the detention facility. In February 2022, Mikalai was sentenced to one year in prison for a smiley under Lukashenka's caricature in Odnoklassniki Russian social media.

Judge Andrei Bychyla delivered the verdict on the charges of Prosecutor Ilya Huzarevich. During the trial, Klimovich recalled his heart problems, disability, the need for constant medical supervision and taking a large number of medications. He explained that the imprisonment would be fatal for him. He counted on the sanity of the executioners, hoping that he would be sentenced at least to a home arrest. But it was important for the Lukashist "lawyers" to curry favor with the regime. The disabled person was sentenced to a painful death. Mikalai was arrested in the courtroom, in April he was transferred to a prison Two weeks later, he died. Concerned Belarusians collected 4,000 euros for his funeral in 6 hours.

Judge Bychyla has already been punished by God by taking his wife and leaving him alone with the children. 25-year-old prosecutor Huzarevich obeys the dictatorship by all means. He also gives ideological lectures. For example, about the benefits of a "union state".

Fighters for a free democratic Belarus go to heaven. Their executors are destined for the most terrible hell flames. But soon the reckoning will overtake them even in their lifetime.
