Aliaksandr Milinkevich: «Heartfelt thanks to everybody who acted especially bravely»

The movement “For Freedom” leader Aliaksandr Milinkevich thanked Belarusians for the participation in the European March. “Dear nationals! Heartfelt thanks to everybody who once again acted especially bravely having devoted the day of 14 October to our Belarus and European choice. We have proved there are the people in Belarus who are dedicated to our Motherland and ready to defend its national interest”, - Milinkevich declared.

The politician also thanked the European politicians and diplomats for steady respect to Belarus and support of Belarusians’ struggle for Freedom and the European future of Belarus.

“14 October we conquered a part of the civil space, we showed we are power and that’s why the authorities had to defer to us and make concessions. But let’s not forget the dozens of the detained and wrongfully convicted on the European March’s eve, let’s not forget the political prisoners and system of political persecution, enforced upon the Belarusian society. We are on the beginning of the way to the united Europe. This way is based on great responsibility and will of the civil community.

We demand the authorities to implement 12 conditions of the European Union, as the presented there steps answer the interests of every Belarusian citizen. We demand the beginning of the equal, based on mutual respect dialog between the authorities and independent society.

We are not alone. There are many of us in our country, we have many good friends all over the world, we have God, ancestor spirit, our belief and strive for Freedom with us. Only the European Belarus has future as a country, as a nation of free and strong people”, - Milinkevich declared.
