10:34, — Politics

Former vice president of the United States and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2007 Albert Gore said it was a “virus of freedom” the company Telekom Austria entrance to the Belarusian market. He declared it in Vienne 24 October, reports The Austrian Press Agency.

We remind that in early October the Telekom Austria Group signed an agreement on buying 70 percent stake Cypriot company SB Telecom, owning the company Mobile Digital System (MDS) since August 2007.

According to Gore the purchase of MDS can change a lot. “The communication gives the opportunity to develop the democracy and helps to solve one of the most serious problem in the world”, - the US politician declared. He thinks the derestriction of communication will automatically broaden the access to the knowledge.

“The broadening of the communication technologies brings freedom with it, - the Nobel Prize winner thinks. – we should strive for communication and dialog in our democratic countries, we should struggle for right to freedom of communication”. Al Gore instantiated his speech with the invention of the printing machine that caused the development of the mankind and establishing the values of the Renaissance.

“The digital revolution, brought by the Internet, has no less radical meaning for us – we should struggle fro these new values as 250 years ago we stood for the freedom of printing”, - the US politician is sure.
