Council of BNR: «Putin’s visit threatens independence of Belarus» 1

15:20, — Politics

The Rada (Council) of the Belarusian Democratic Republic (BNR) made a statement in view of planned visit of Russia’s president Vladimir Putin to Minsk.

“Visit of Russian president Vladimir Putin to Minsk (who offered Belarus to join Russia as six provinces) makes real the threat to the Independence of Motherland,” Radio Svaboda quotes the statement.

The Rada of the BNR thinks Moscow is involving Belarus in the zone of Russian military interests, and annexes Belarusian property by rhetoric of the so called union state, common budget and so on and by Lukashenka’s anti-Belarusian regime pandering to this tendency. All this is being made against the background of assimilation policy, narrowing of use of Belarusian language, suppression of national culture, shutdown of Belarusians institutes and repressions against those, who raises voices in defence of national values.”
