Victar Ivashkevich detained for Euro in fact 11

As Victar Ivashkevich, the chairman of the organizational committee of the European March said to Charter’97 press center, it was written in the report that he was detained 25 September for spreading the leaflets calling to take part in the European March. Ivashkevich said, he is really the organizer of the march as he is the head of the organizational committee. But in fact the printed materials he had are the souvenir notes of the value of 100 Euros.

“We made these souvenirs specially to hand them in to participants of the European March. I am sure, the authorities will make a step forward us and we will hold the action together. Every participant of the march will have a chance to receive 100 “Euro” with the picture of the National Library of Belarus”, - Viktar Ivashkevich said.

As it was noticed, Victor Ivashkevich, the chairman of the organizational committee of the European March , the co-chairman of the BNF Party and Valer Uhnalou, vice-chairman of Belarusian Party of Communists were arrested in the evening 25 September when leaving the cafe “El Pomidoro” in Chyrvonaya Street in Minsk center . Valer Uhnalou was discharged soon and Victar Ivashkevich spent a night in Pershamayski Internal Affairs Department of Minsk. The next day Ivashkevich was discharged by Pershamayski District Court, because the reports, drawn up by the riot militiamen, were declared unconvincing.
