“Zvyazda” to go to Olympic Games instead of “Pressball”

Accreditation of the popular independent sports newspaper “Pressball” to work at the Olympic Games 2008 has been withdrawn. What Belarusian mass media will cover the Olympic competition?

Periodicals of Belarus have been granted 10 Olympic accreditations (6 to journalists and 4 to press photographers). State-run newspapers “Sportivnaya Panorama”, “Sovetskaya Belorussia”, “Respublika”, “Zvyazda”, “Narodnaya Gazeta” and the BELTA agency will send one reporter each. “Sportivnaya Panorama”, “Sovetskaya Belorussia”, “Respublika” and the BELTA are to send one press photographer each.
