Artur Finkevich met with Vaclav Havel (photo)

Artur Finkevich, one of the Young Front leaders and former political prisoner, was invited to the One World International Documentary Film Festival in Prague. Former Czech President Vaclav Havel met with participants of the festival on 5 March.

The festival focuses on dictatorships this year. Prisoners of Conscience from all over the world, where dictatorships still remain, are invited to the festival and the conference in its frames. The festival objective is to remind the ideas of liberty, freedom, human rights are not ordinary for all people. 60th anniversary of Universal Declaration Human Rights adoption will be celebrated in the frames of the festival.

138 documentary films, dedicated to the problem of world dictatorships, violation of human rights and poverty will be presented at the festival, held by the People in Need organisation.

“The fest has gained identity, charisma and internal beliefs for 9 years of its existence. He has not only viewrs, but also friends and amateurs. The festival is popular in the world,” founder of the fest Igor Blazevic said on the press conference.

Patrons of the One World festival are Vaclav Havel, Minister of Culture Vaclav Jehlicka and Mayor of Prague Pavel Bem.
