The “For Freedom” movement agrees to join the public council, created at the Administration of Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

“BDG” newspaper has learnt it from Viktar Karnyaenka, deputy head of the “For Freedom” movement.

The representative of the opposition party thinks by joining the council, the “For Freedom” movement will be able to “use new opportunities for the benefit of the country”. It should be reminded that this council will be chaired by Uladzimir Makei, head of the Administration of Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

Viktar Karnyaenka noted that much would depend on questions the council would deal with.

“if results of functioning of this group are able to influence the strategy for development of Belarus, give answer to geopolitical challenges, it is highly possible that Alyaksandr Milinkevich will join the group,” Viktar Karnyaenka said.

According to the deputy head of the “For Freedom” movement, the council at the Lukashenka’s Administration should focus on issues of foreign and inner policy. Viktar Karnayenka emphasised that “both the democratic society and our movement” have many questions concerning the inner policy.

What concerns the foreign policy, Viktar Karnyaenka thinks “new geopolitical challenges” and position of the country in the international society are of great importance for Belarus.

The deputy head of the opposition movement believes that questions of inner and foreign policy are interrelated and should be discussed together. “They are two interrelated questions that should be main maters on the agenda of the group,” Viktar Karnyaenka supposes.

“we are not going to be observers and wait for the dictatorship to die under the destroyed country, or vice versa. We should use all opportunities for positive changes,” Viktar Karnyaenka explains why participation in the council at the Lukashenka’s Administration is necessary.
