7

An activist of anarchist movement Siarhei Slyusar is kept in Babruysk detention facility from October, 17.

As “Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections” reports, he was detained after the unknown threw two bottles with Molotov cocktail to the building of KGB in Babruysk. A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of hooliganism.

During the night time from October, 16 to October, 17 the unknown attacked the building of KGB in Babruysk. In several hours police officers arrived at Slyusar’s house, who lives together with his parents, woke him up from sleep and interrogated. However, his father stated that his son had been at home all this time and had not left the house.

During the day time on October, 17 police and KGB officers conducted a search at his house, confiscated several discs, hard disc of his computer and a bottle of dissolvent. A representative of Babruysk KGB informed Siarhei’s parents that he was called there only for several hours. The activist’s father is completely sure that his son is entirely not guilty of this attack.

A three-day term of his custody will be over today, but it is not known yet, whether an indictment has been brought to the activist.

We are reminding that Siarhei Slyusar was already detained on September, 3 on suspicion in participation in the attack on RF Embassy in Minsk, but on September, 12 he was released without being indicted.
