Lukashenka discloses plot at Eurovision Song Contest

Lukashenka said Belarus’s participant of 2011 Eurovision Song Contest fell a victim of unfair judging and that this decision complied with the West’s policy towards the Belarusian state.

“They do not like us, because they feel we are their rivals, that’s true. They will continue to suffocate us in all spheres. They will continue to suffocate us at Eurovision, as it happened with that girl yesterday,” Lukashenka said Friday during his working visit to the Vitsebsk region.

Giving his estimation of the Belarusian singer’s performance, the dictator said: “Everything matched perfectly: the movements, the face, and the song. She sang the national anthem of Belarus. Who will allow the anthem of Belarus to the Final?”

“Therefore, they are pressing on us there and will press on us here,” the president said.
