The administration of the Mahilou prison insists that the political prisoner should apply for the so called protective custody.
This term in fact means a solitary cell, Belsat TV learnt from political prisoner's wife Maryna Adamovich.
“He declines the offers because he doesn't want to yield anything,” the wife of Mikalai Statkevich stressed.
According to her, the political prisoner is still being held in an informational vacuum. He cannot receive newspapers and books. The prison staff try to limit his contacts with other inmates.
