KGB looks for “terrorist trace” in Kobryn

The blast in Kobryn is related to terrorism. Such a story is investigated by the KGB as the main one.

“The persons killed by the blast are a father born in 1957, and his son, born in 1979. As one of the initial theories, a terrorist trace is investigated: the father was previously prosecuted under Article 186 “Threats of murder, causing bodily harm or property destruction”, and his son stayed in North Caucasian region of Russia for a long time, and returned to Kobryn just two days before his death,” Interfax agency was informed at the KGB directorate of Brest region.

According to information of field investigators, acquaintances of the dead informed that the family had material difficulties, which could be a reason for an attempt of illegal sale of means of destruction, and among other things, to the interest of concrete buyers from among illegal migrants. At the moment it is decided whether the criminal case should be opened. As the primary lead, a terrorist attack is considered, and a possible supply chain of ammunition and explosives to Belarus is investigated, the KGB directorate informs.
