Finance Minister: I live on credit

Andrei Kharkovets says that his personal budget is scarce and he’s been living on credit for the last five to seven years.

According to him, he pays the loan for housing construction, as well as loans for the purchase of durable goods and he often uses overdraft bank service.

The head of the Ministry of Finance says that, although rates on overdraft loans are very high, "these are very short credits within the current income, so one does not feel this rate so much," reports TUT.by.

"In the long run it would definitely be impacted psychologically. But a few days, 10 or 15 - it's more or less convenient," said the Minister during a hot line to the newspaper "Respublika."

Andrei Kharkovets also says that his family budget is taken jointly. "I would not like to hurt my wife - we always find a general solution," he said.

Alexander Lukashenko said, speaking with a message to the Parliament and the people on May 8, that he gets a salary of about $2 thousand per month in equivalent.
