“BelCel” is blocking access to Charter97.org

The “BelCel” company is blocking user access to independent websites.

The fact of blocking was noticed by a journalist of the newspaper “Novy Chas”. This is not the first fact of illegal restriction of access to opposition websites by this internet provider. At the beginning of this year Salihorsk users of “BelCel” services reported about the same problem.

In particular, the access is blocked to charter97.org, “Belorusski Partizan”, Lipkovich Eugene’s blog.  

The mobile operator flagrantly violates even those “draconian” legislation, which appeared in Belarus thanks to the dictator. According to the notorious Decree number 60, internet provider can block access for private user to any site only at user’s request.  Coercive blocking is carried out only for governmental agencies, institutions of education and culture.
