Martynau to carry the can for dictator in Brussels

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus leaves for Brussels today.

The Belarusian delegation led by Syarhei Martynau is expected to take part in an annual ministerial meeting of the Eastern Partnership partner countries, the EU member states, the European External Action Service and the European Commission, Interfax-Zapad news agency learned from the press service of the Belarusian MFA.

“The interim results of the Eastern Partnership initiative, prospects for the coming year, the EaP roadmap for 2012-2013 adopted by the EU in May 2012 will be discussed at the meeting,” the MFA says.

The MFA press service informs Martynau will represent Belarus's position on the relations with the EU and on the ways to enhance the efficiency of the Eastern Partnership initiative. He is also expected to have a number of bilateral meetings with the EU senior officials and the heads of delegations of the countries participating in the meeting.
