The British send Belarusians «bearish» hello (Photo)

Youth Liberals of Great Britain started a campaign of solidarity with Belarus.

The campaign had started in response to the arrest of journalists in Belarus for having a picture with a soft toy. The activists had opened a site www.bearsforbelarus.wordpress.com. Anyone who wants to support the Belarusians to publish their photos with soft toys there.

"People send in a picture of themselves with a bear in protest against the regime and solidarity with those campaigners for democracy in Belarus. We want to show the regime they can't arrest people for taking a picture with a soft toy.

The response has been fantastic. People who once knew little to nothing about the situation in Belarus are getting involved,"- say the organizers of the campaign.
