Platform deputy director to be tried

Alena Krasouskaya-Kaspyarovich is expected to be taken to the Partyzanski district court in Minsk.

Her colleagues received this information from the detention centre in Akrestin Street with a reference to Partyzanski district police department, Radio Svaboda reports.

The  Partyzanski district police department at first denied this information, but later said the activist was expected to arrive in court this afternoon.

Platform head Andrei Bandarenka, who went to court to attend the trial, says there are many unclear details in Krasouskaya's case since the moment of her arrest. It is unknown who arrested the human rights activist near her home and why she was detained. People, who know Krasouskaya, do not believe in the official version – swearing in public.

Platform deputy director was detained at 4 p.m on July 31 by people in mufti. She was then taken to a detention centre. Her family, friends and colleagues didn't know her whereabouts for 24 hours since her arrest.
