Officials sent to remove rubbish

51

Officials are removing rubbish from Borisovdrev wood processing plant.

A big clean-up was held on the plant yesterday. Top managers and local officials took part in the event. They cleaned the territory, removed debris and rubbish and knocked down old buildings.

“Almost all services, top officials from the district executive committee and design engineers working on their day off. A new production line is being installed and tested. The president's critical remarks were considered to be fair. Employees plan to fix deficiencies in the next few days,” ONT TV channel reports.

We remind that Lukashenka visited Borisovdrev plant a year ago and ordered the government, Bellesbumprom group of companies and the head of the Minsk region to complete the plant modernisation by November. He arrived at the plant some days ago and expressed his dissatisfaction over the results. Many officials were dismissed.

A deputy head of Lukashenka's administration, the governor of the Minks region and head of Bellesbumprom group of companies were relieved of their duties. The ruler ordered to set up a commission similar to that working over problems in the construction industry. The commission is expected to prepare a report by December.
