Case over beating Korona hypermarket customer suspended

The Investigation Committee suspended an inquiry into beating of a Minsk resident by security guards of Korona hypermarket.

Charter97.org learnt it from the Committee's Minsk department. The suspension of the inquiry doesn't mean the case was closed, a representative of the Committee notes.

“We don't comment on the issue so far, because Aliaksandr Vashkevich, who was injured in the incident, said in an interview with a website that the preliminary inquiry was suspended. This remark is correct, but he also said much lies and violated privacy of investigation. We are preparing an official statement,” the Investigation Committee said.

On May 9, security guards of Korona hypermarket in Minsk brutally beat Aliaksandr Vashkevich who didn't want to leave alone his friend Dzianis Loktseu detained by security guards.

Aliaksandr Vashkevich had a concussion, bruises on the face and a fracture of the spinous process of the sixth cervical vertebrae.
