MFA spokesman: Charter'97? Good bye

Andrei Savinykh declined to say the names of Belarusian military instructors attacked in Yemen.

A charter97.org correspondent called the Belarusian MFA's spokesman to get an official comment on the armed attack on Belarusian nationals in Yemen.

“Sorry, but charter97.org is not a Belarusian website. We don't regard you as a media outlet,” Andrei Savinykh said.

Asked to say the names of the attacked military contractors, he said: “I don't work with you, good bye.” The spokesman then hung up the phone.

We remind that Belarusian nationals were attacked in Yemen's capital Sanaa. One of them was killed, the other one was wounded. They were military instructors working for the Yemeni ministry of defence on contracts, according to later reports.

The Belarusian ministry of defence said it hadn't sent military instructors to Yemen.
