French TV channel remembers Belarus’ true flag

TF1 TV channel presented Belarus’ national football team under a white-red-white flag.

This took place during the broadcasting of a qualification game for the UEFA European Championship against Albania. It was played on 20 October in Tirana. The national team of our country lost 2:1.

The white-red-white flag is the historic symbol of Belarusians. It was the state flag from 1991 to 1995. After the fraudulent referendum on changing the national symbols the flag was forbidden. It has become the symbol of resistance and its use is punished with arrests or fines.
