Political prisoner Prakapenka demanded to write a plea for pardon

The administration of the Mahilou colony suggests the political prisoner Artsiom Prakapenka to write a plea for pardon.

Anatol Prakapenka, the father of politically imprisoned Artsiom Prakapenka, told that to the charter97.org web-site.

“Several days ago he spoke with his mother Vijaleta Prakapenka on the phone. The conversation was short. The son told it was all the same. And he briefly mentioned that he was advised to write a plea for pardon to Lukashenka, but Artsiom refused”, - the father of the political prisoner noted.

He also emphasized that the circumstances and the details are not yet known. It is also not possible to find those in phone conversations.

“We have long been going to visit our son, but the meeting has always been rescheduled because of the weather conditions since we want to go by car. I hope the meeting will take place next week and Artisom will tell everything in more detail”, - Anatol Prakapenka concluded.

Artsiom Prakapenka was sentenced together with Jauhen Vaskovich and Pavel Syramalotau for seven years in prison for an attempted arson of the doors of the KGB building in Babruisk. On 27 September last year Pavel Syramalotau was released after having signed a plea for pardon to Lukashenka.
