Brawl with border guards on Lithuanian border

People were near to beat Belarusian border guards for an attempt to seize cigarettes.
Border guards from Smarhon stopped two UAZ cars carrying a large amount of cigarettes heading to Lithuania on August 17.
A border squad met rather aggressive passengers when an UAZ car was found stuck in the swamp in the Ashmiany district, the press service of the State Border Committee reports. Two young men refused to show their IDs. The men tried to use force against the border guards and threatened them. One of the offenders was struck with an electroshock weapon, the other one was handcuffed.
The vehicle carried 40 boxes of cigarettes. The car and tobacco were handed over to the Ashmiany police. The conduct of the aggressive men was classified as failure to obey legal orders of officers on duty. Both were handed in summonses to appear at a police station.
