Second seed Victoria Azarenka of Belarus continued her Australian Open run with a comfortable fourth-round victory over World No.13 Sloane Stephens of the U.S..

The Belarusian overcame the opponent 6-3, 6-2 in 90 minutes.

Victoria Azarenka started her Australian Open campaign with a 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 victory over World No.91 Johanna Larsson, then beat Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic (84) 6-1, 6-4 in round two just to breeze through Austria’s Yvonne Meusburger (World No.49) 6-1, 6-0 in the third round.

The Belarusian will next face the winner of Poland’s Agnieszka Radwanska (5) vs. Spain’s Gabrine Muguruza (38) match.

In the men’s doubles Belarusian-Russian tandem Max Mirnyi and Mikhail Youzhny advanced into the quarterfinal overpowering French duet Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
