New coalition in Rada: Ukraine’s objective is to accede to NATO

The presentation on coalition agreement has been performed in Ukrainian parliament.

The representatives of “Petro Poroshenko Block”, “People’s Front”, Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko, “Self-Reliance” Party and “Fatherland” signed the agreement in the Parliament on Friday, November 21, reports ZN.ua.

The signing ceremony of coalition agreement will take place, according to Volodymyr Groysman, the leader of group for the preparation for the first session of new Verkhovna Rada, during the first session of a new Parliament as soon as fractions are set up, reports “Korrespondent”.

“I think that the coalition made up with 5 political parties is able to take over the responsibility and justify the confidence granted at the elections” stated Groysman. He also assured that the whole content of coalition agreement would be released for public domain in a few hours. “Today we will make this coalition agreement public, for everyone could see a plan of actions in the nearest future”, emphasized Groysman. Then he added that the coalition agreement would accelerate a new Parliament composition formation in the first days of Verkhovna Rada functioning.

In his turn the leader of “People’s Front”, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, called for acceleration of delegation of representatives of the parties to form the Cabinet of Ministers. “We urgently need to form the government. The request is to catalyze the process of delegating their representatives to the Cabinet of Ministers”, he said. Yatseniuk emphasized that the coalition agreement was the basis to reformations. “This agreement provides difficult and painful, but useful reformations for the country. And we will likely hear the applause but certainly not in the nearest future. We should deserve it”, he said.

The participants of parliamentary coalition came to the conclusion that Ukraine should accede to NATO. It was written by Egor Sobolev, the Member of Parliament, on his page on “Facebook”.

“The accession to NATO is the objective for Ukraine. This is the last decision of Parliament majority which we have just come to”, he emphasized.

It should be reminded that tonight 5 parties, having overcome a 5 per cent barrier at early parliamentary elections on October 26, initialed the project of coalition agreement. The text of the document is approved by “Petro Poroshenko Block”, “People’s Front”, Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko, “Self-Reliance” Party and “Fatherland”.
