It has been stated by the deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus Vasily Chernik at a press-conference on June 24, BelaPAN informs.

The ceremony is timed to the 70th anniversary of liberation of Belarus from German invaders.

The official reminded that the task to build the new building of the museum was set four years ago. Initially it was planned that the museum, situated in Victors Avenue near Minsk Hero City stela, was to have the floor space of 15,000 square metres, with 140,000 exhibits.
