MAPID units move to a four-day week

20

The policy of curtailing construction projects within Minsk Automobile Ring Road has hurt not only commercial, but state construction firms as well.

As onliner.by has learnt, since February 26 on the order of the CEO of MAPID (Minsk lease enterprise of industrialized construction) open joint-stock company Ivan Yancharski, a number of business units of the enterprise move to a four-day working week. One of our readers has shared a photo of the order with our editorial office.

As it is noted in the document, the work load for industrial and construction units has been reduced. The reason is “downsizing the volume of construction, as there are no territories prepared for large-scale construction.” Other reasons are reduction of the number of objects in investment program, considerable reduction of volume of subsidized loans and shortened list of categories of citizens entitled for support from the state for construction.

According to the order, for the period of February 26-27, 2015 13 units of MAPID are to move for a four-day week. They are Construction Departments # 1, # 256, # 257, Mechanization Building Board – 154, Construction Departments # 192, # 202, # 203, # 204, # 205, # 206, Production and processing equipment agency, housing and utility department. However, when there are clients can pay, managers of these departments can organize work for five days a week. Payments are to be made proportionately with the working time or output.

The executive office of the enterprise is to work four days a week instead of five days as well.

While MAPID is losing volume of construction in Minsk, it tries to build their business in the provinces and outside Belarus. Now the enterprise is building several houses in Kaluga, Russia, however it is not enough to involve all capacities. No large-scale projects like Kamennaya Horka micro-district are expected any time soon.
