The presentation of a new album of famous group Neuro Dubel, which was to be held in Minsk club “Fortuna” today, was banned. As group’s leader Aleksandr Kullinkovich said to Charter’97 press center, “there was a call from Partizanski District Executive Committee, and then people from KGB came to the club”.

“Patience of the US has snapped, so such strong measures have been taken. In order to rescue lives and health of political prisoners, any measures are justified,” said the international coordinator of the Charter’97 Andrei Sannikov, commenting on the decision of the US to block accounts of Belarusian oil processor Belneftekhim.

Aliaksandr Milinkevich, the “For Freedom” movement leader, received a letter from Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission. Barroso thanked Belarusian people for their support of partnership between the EU and Belarus.
