А я вот за "мирный атом"... И многие, многие мои друзья\знакомые тоже. Положительные отзывы слышал, отрицательные как то не доводилось. Многие вообще говорят "Не знаю, мне всё ровно". Так что, давайте не будем говорить про ВСЕХ Беларусов, ок? :)

Человек, 15:32, 25.01. А я не хочу никакого атома - ни "мирного", ни "буйного", мне как-то спокойнее, когда в моей стране нет ядерных котлов. Я за альтернативные источники энергии.
Предположим, у нас есть АЭС, а куда мы будем вывозить отработавшее топливо? В Россию? Так вот Россия намерена повысить цены на вывоз отработавшего топлива АЭС Украины в 2008 г. на 18% по сравнению с 2007 г. А украинская сторона не согласна с таким подорожанием.
Стоимость услуг по вывозу топлива в 2002 г. составляла 372 долл. за 1 кг, в 2006 г. - 520 долл., в 2008 г. может достичь 730 долл. Не считая того, что это небезопасно и вредно окружающей среде и людям, так это еще и недешево. Опять будем зависеть от РФ? Или мы у себя эти отходы будем где-нибудь хранить?

I'm sure many remembers Chernobyl and the catastrophy that happened there. We here in Sweden and Norway also felt that incicent quite hard, since we were downwind from the disaster site. However, what is worth reminding, is that the Chernobyl plant was built using both a technology that was totally unsuited for a nuclear plant (graphite moderator) and additionally it was not properly designed or operated when the accident happened. A lot of water has passed under the bridges since that time, and new modern reactor designs that are inherently more suitable and stable exists. If we look at the latest polls here in Sweden, there were more pro-nuclear punters than con-nuclear. This probably a result of high oil prices in combination with the propaganda from the climate environmentalists. For belarusians, in general, I'd be rather worried about the gas imports from RUS and that dependency. You really have to look at the pros an cons of your options.
