N.R.M. Concert canceled

The administration of the building where Graffiti club is situated said that preventive maintenance inspection of electrical equipment is scheduled for August 26.

“There were problems when Troitsa band played a concert on August 15. The band began to play only at 10 pm due to troubles with electricity,” the club staff say. Pit Paulau, an N.R.M. musician, says the situation is not clear and hopes the gig will be postponed, music.fromby.net website informs.

Graffiti personnel says this coincidence looks strange – repair works will start only after 10 days after problems with electricity, moreover, the repair works are scheduled for the day when NRM plays a concert. The administration of the premises says electricity in the whole building, not only in the club, will be cut off. N.R.M. leader Pit Paulau does not believe it's just a coincidence: “The situation is absolutely not clear. It's difficult for me to comment on the situation, because we were preparing to play the concert. I hope we will arrange with Graffiti to postpone our gig for another day.”

This is not the first time when musicians from the so called “blacklist” have had to cancel their concerts in Graffiti club. Zmitser Vaitsyushkevich's performance was banned on the pretext of repair works in the building.

Another group from the blacklist, Neuro Dubel whose gig has recently been canceled in Minsk's Loft Cafe, plays a concert in Graffiti on August 29. If this concert is called off for any reasons, it will remain to state that the last place where blacklisted musicians could present results of their creative work has disappeared.
