Rally in London on day of Kupala Theatre's visit (Photo fact)

19

Participants of a public action demanded not to use British theatres to advertise the Belarusian regime.

We remind the performance of Yanka Kupala Theatre held in London on May 10 caused outrage among theatre-goers. Visitors of the Facebook account of the Bloomsbury Theatre, which gave its stage to the Belarusian theatre, called this event a disgrace and reported about repression against people of Belarus and numerous detentions of people for watching performances of the Belarus Free Theatre, which had to go underground.

@FreeBelarusNow reports on Twitter participants of the rally, which was organized by the International Committee for Artists' Freedom (ICAF), showed their protest against the fact the Embassy of Belarus uses British theatres to promote the Lukashneka regime and supported independent people of art in Belarus.
