People will fight with «compaction» with help of general Russiyanov

Local inhabitants are going to install a boulder and a marker in memory of the hero of the Soviet Union in the future building site.

A marker in memory of Ivan Russiyanov, hero of the Soviet Union, will be installed in the square of Minsk microdistrict Uruchie-2 on Thursday, June 12. A boulder and a marker will be installed in the future building site of two blocks of flats that will be built for special forces.

Leader of the civil initiative "European Prospect" Victar Yanchurevich has informed Euroradio that local inhabitants are trying to attract the authorities' attention to the problem of the illegal building of the blocks of flats (as they think). However, people do not think that the marker will last long.

Victar Yanchurevich: “The event will draw attention to the elimination of greenery near people's houses and there are reasons to think that the construction of the houses is illegal and is organized with  numerous law violations. Complaints have been sent to the corresponding state institutions but the Administration of Lukashenko has not given any reply so far".

Yanchurevich has admitted that the authorities' permission is required to install such a marker. However, the events in the microdistrict connected with the square and the construction are developing so rapidly that there is no time to stick to all the bureaucratic procedures. That is why local inhabitants have simply raised money, ordered the boulder and brought the marker there.
