Representatives of Polish and Swedish MFAs to visit Minsk

Representatives of the foreign ministries of Poland and Sweden are expected to arrive in Minsk on October 24 with a two-day visit.

As BelaPAN news agency learnt from the Swedish Embassy, Sweden will be represented by Director-General for Political Affairs at the MFA Torbjorn Sohlstrom and Swedish Ambassador for the Eastern Partnership Martin Hagstrom. Poland will be represented by Political Director of the Polish MFA Jaroslaw Bratkiewicz, Special Plenipotentiary of the Polish MFA for the Eastern Partnership Beata Peksa and Deputy Director of the MFA's Eastern Department Konrad Pawlik, the Embassy of Poland informs.

The Swedish and Polish diplomats are expected to have meetings with representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Lukashenka's Administration. Foreign ministers of Poland and Sweden Radowslaw Sikorski and Carl Bildt announced this visit ahead of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in their joint article published in some EaP countries on October 21.

According to the article, Sikorski, Bildt and other high representatives of Poland and Sweden plan to visit capitals of the EaP members – Chisinau, Kyiv, Tbilisi, Baku, Yerevan and Minsk – ahead of the summit in Vilnius.
