Mikhail Chyhir: New Prime Minister does no how to act

Andrei Kabiakau is the seventh Chairman of Council of Ministers during the presidency of Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

Mikhail Chyhir was the first to take this position in 1994. He told "Radio Svaboda" that he just did not remember what his first day as Prime Minister was. The politician has strong doubts in perspectives of Andrei Kabiakau.

"What is the advantage of this assignment? It will be less problematic for Kabiakau to negotiate with the President. After all, the President will put more trust in Kabiakau than he used to trust in Miasnikovich. But whether Kabiakau is ready to do things the Government needs today? Firstly, it is needed to cut budget spending. And they should be significantly cut. We have the highest tax pressure throughout the Eurasian Economic Union.

However, there is a question: whether the new Prime Minister sees the issue. I'm afraid he doesn't. Though I wish he saw", Mikhail Chyhir said.

It should be reminded that on December 27 Lukashenka has the leadership of the Government, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, and the Administration reshuffled. Andrei Kabiakau has appointed a new Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus.
